Carlton native wins Jeopardy! for third straight day, winnings total more than $75k

CARLTON, MN — A Carlton native has won for the third day in a row on Jeopardy!

Sam Kavanaugh, who now lives in Minneapolis, first appeared on the show on Wednesday.

On Friday, he won more than $29,600.

His three-day total of winnings now stands at more than $75,000.

4:42 p.m. — A Carlton native is racking up big money on the hit trivia show Jeopardy!

Sam Kavanaugh, who now lives in Minneapolis, will be featured for the third day in a row Friday afternoon.

On Wednesday, Kavanaugh won three daily Doubles, answered a question about Minnesota correctly, and ended the episode with $38,001.

Kavanaugh continued his winning streak Thursday, and has a two day winnings total of $46,000.

The Jeopardy! website states he’ll be competing against Heather Ringman, an engineer from Houston, Texas, and Justin Burden, an alcohol lawyer from West Hollywood, California.
