Pine City, MN — Hail rained down on vehicles Friday afternoon as severe storms moved through the area.
In Pine County, hail and straight line winds hit vehicles at a gas station just south of Pine City, right off of Interstate-35.
The hail smashed through back windows of cars, and also created dents in the vehicles.
Not far from Pine City, there are reports of crops being flattened by tennis ball size hail.
About 4 Miles East from Pine City there was wind damage from the same storm.
Alex Smith, a traveler on I-35 at the time of the storm said “The sky just turned really green, really dark it started to rain really hard. And yeah we were just going down the road and hail started to hit our windshield and crack we got glass all over us,” her vehicle was damaged in the storm.
