DULUTH, MN — Police say a few streets in Duluth will be closed due to the HillFest Festival on Sunday, August 18.
The Festival will start at 2 p.m. and end at 6 p.m., however street closure times will vary throughout the day:
- Noon – 4th Street will close from 5th to 6th Avenues East, and from 6th to 7th Avenues East for setup, however 6th Avenue East will be open to traffic at this time
- 1:45 p.m. – 6th Avenue East will close from 3rd to 5th Streets, as well as the earlier 4th Street closure
- 6th Avenue East will re-open at 6 p.m., and 4th Street will be closed until about 7 p.m. for tear down of the Festival.
Traffic heading south on 6th Avenue East will be detoured at 5th Street, either east toward 7th Avenue East, or west toward 5th Avenue East.
Northbound traffic on 6th Avenue East will be detoured east on 2nd Street toward 7th Avenue East, or west on 3rd Street toward 5th Avenue East.
Fourth Street traffic will also be detoured to Fifth Street in order to bypass the closure.
Businesses in the area will be accessible by using nearby avenues and alleys.
