DULUTH, MN– Loaves and Fishes has played a role in Duluth by advocating for the community for the past 30 years, and this weekend they’re celebrating the big milestone.
To celebrate 30 years of advocacy, the group planned weekend events starting Friday night with a bonfire.
On Saturday, the group held a family-friendly block party with live music, games, and food.
Members of Loaves and Fishes say having this block party is a great way to bring unity in the community.
“It’s great to have a block party where everybody gets to gather and celebrate that community, and we all get to participate in being a big family,” said volunteer Chelsea Froemke.
On Sunday, the weekend celebration will wrap up with a blessing of the Loaves and Fishes house at 9 a.m.
