DULUTH, MN– The funeral arrangements have been set for former UMD student Jacob Lavoie.
Lavoie went missing from Grandma’s just after midnight September 1st, and his body was found in the Minnesota Slip on September 6th. The medical examiner reports showed Lavoie died from drowning.
UMD officials announced Monday the funeral arrangements have been set, and the school is inviting its community to celebrate Lavoie’s life.
The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday September 13th at the Roberts Funeral Home in Inver Grove Heights, Lavoie’s hometown.
Lavoie’s family will be hosting another visitation at 10 a.m. on Saturday September 14 at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Inver Grove Heights, which will be followed by a memorial service and a lunch.
Those who attend are asked to bring stories to share about Lavoie.
