I’Falls Airport receives $16 million grant

INTERNATIONAL FALLS, MN — Millions of dollars are on the way to International Falls.

On Monday, the U.S. Department of Transportation announced a nearly $16 million grant for the city’s airport.

According to the news release, the money will go toward a Voluntary Airport Low Emissions Program.

Sky Harbor Airport on Duluth’s Park Point is also one of 14 Minnesota airports making the list.

They were awarded almost $1 million for runway reconstruction work.
