HAYWARD, WI– Monday was a special day for a 5-year-old boy living with a very rare disorder.

Nolan Bearheart, from Hayward, told Kids Wish Network that he wanted to be a police officer when he grew up.

They thought it would be a good idea to reach out to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Department to help make Nolan’s wish come true.

He was given a tour of the station, official police attire, and was sworn in as an official deputy.

But that wasn’t all. Kids Wish Network also surprised both Nolan and his family with a trip to Disney World.

Nolan was born with a very rare disorder that enlarges his heart and causes his muscles to not rebuild.
