UPDATE: St. Scholastica, Duluth East without power

DULUTH, MN– St. Scholastica and Duluth East High School are now among the more than 4,800 Minnesota Power customers in the dark Monday afternoon.

Due to the power outage, St. Scholastica has cancelled all classes and activities until 4 p.m. The college plans to issue an update at 4 p.m.

According to a message from Duluth East High School’s Infinite Campus portal, their building is also without power; however, a generator is running so they will continue to hold classes.

All of Duluth East’s after-school activities have been cancelled.

There was no immediate word on when power will be restored. Most of Minnesota Power’s outages are affecting customers in the Duluth area.

According to the company’s outage map, most of the outages are in eastern Duluth neighborhoods with another hitting the Carlton area.

There was no immediate word on when power will be restored.
