House fire in Duluth leaves fire crews on scene for 3 hours

DULUTH,MN– The Duluth Fire Department was called out to a house fire around 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at 220 South 70th Avenue West.

Crews arrived on scene around 1:40 p.m. and were able to put out the house fire.

Out of the four people that live in the residence, three people were in the house during the fire.

All three people, and their family dog were able to evacuate the home safely.

The fire broke out in the kitchen and initial damages are estimated at around $35,000.

The home has been deemed uninhabitable, and the family has been connected with resources and help from the Red Cross.

The Duluth Fire Marshall’s office is still investigating the cause of fire.
