DULUTH,MN– The Christmas City of the North Parade is just one day away.
That means participants are putting the finishing touches on their float, some for the very first time.
That includes Ghostbusters North.
The group which started in 2015 celebrates all things Ghostbusters by making appearances at events all year long.
Their float will be decked out in all things Ghostbusters from the in-famous car to characters like the state puff marshmallow man, but with a little Christmas twist.
Matt Rasmussen a Ghostbusters North Member says being in the Christmas City of the North Parade has been a long time coming.
He says, “We’re beyond excited. This has been the goal, this has been the end game for years actually. We’ve always wanted to do the Christmas City of the North Parade.”
All donations the group receives goes to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
He says they started donating because it’s personal to them.
Rasmussen says, “One of our other founding members Adam Nori, his daughter was born with a hole in her heart. And because they gave so much to him in his time of need, we raise money and give it back to the Ronald McDonald House to give something back.”
Last year the group visited the Ronald McDonald House on Christmas.
They plan to go back again this year and donate gifts to families currently staying there.
