Largest St. Louis County bargaining units reach contract agreement

ST. LOUIS COUNTY, MN - A big chunk of American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) union employees have reached a contract agreement with St. Louis County.

We're learning 62 percent of the county workforce was at the bargaining table in a three-year-contract approval.

This involved the Civil Service Basic Unit and Merit System Basic Unit. Those units voted to accept the 2020 to 2022 offer.

The new contract includes wage increases of two percent in 2020. Then includes wage increases of 2.25 percent in 2021 and 2022.
