NEW YEAR'S EVE MONDAY NIGHT:

The sky will be clear to partly cloudy thanks to the high pressure system that chased away the clouds Tuesday morning. That will let things get chilly for New Year's Eve. Low temps will be 0-10 in MN and 5-10 in WI & MI. the wind will be WSW 5-10 mph.

NEW YEARS DAY WEDNESDAY:

A warm front will push through the area on Wednesday to quickly make the sky cloudy again. It is attached to a low pressure system so Minnesota will also get a 40% chance for flurries. Snow may hold off for WI & MI, though. On that side of the border, the sky should range from partly sunny to mostly cloudy. High temps will be 24-29. The wind will be SSW 5-10 mph.

THURSDAY:

The warm front will continue its passage so the sky will stay cloudy and a 30% chance of flurries will linger region-wide. The low will be 20 with a high of 26.

FRIDAY:

We'll be in between troughs of low pressure on Friday so there is a chance to see peeks of sunshine in between snow shower chances. The low will be 20 with a high of 26.

WEEKEND:

Saturday will have a 30% chance for flurries with a low of 13 and a high of 20. Sunday should be overcast with a 50% chance for an inch or two of snow accumulation. The low will be 14 with a high of 24.
