HIBBING, MN -- How does the Iron Range feel about recreational marijuana? That's the question lawmakers sought to answer Monday.
House Majority Leader Ryan Winkler and Rep. Julie Sandstede, both democrats hosted a community conversation tonight at the Memorial Building Little Theater in Hibbing.
It's the 13th of 15 meetings all over the state, encouraging conversation on how to regulate marijuana for adult use.
"States around the country are legalizing it and in fact states very close to Minnesota are legalizing it, public perception of the safety of cannabis is changing. More and more people believe it should be legally available regulated and taxed," said Winkler.
Winkler has said in the past, legalizing marijuana for adult use will be a top priority during the 2020 legislative session.
