UPDATE: Power restored in western Duluth

DULUTH, MN-- A spokesperson with Minnesota Power said the power has been restored to more than 2,000 customers in Duluth who were in the dark Wednesday.

Officials say the outage in western Duluth neighborhoods started around around 10:50 a.m. and lasted less than 10 minutes.

According to Minnesota Power, a main feeder line was briefly down. Area crew members were able to get the power back on shortly afterward.

A cause for the outage is still unknown.


DULUTH, MN-- More than 2,000 Minnesota Power customers were without power Wednesday morning in several western Duluth neighborhoods.

According to Minnesota Power's outage map, the outage impacted homes in the Denfeld, Cody, Fairmont Irving and Bayview Heights neighborhoods.

The outage was reported aroud 10:50 a.m.

Minnesota Power estimates power to be restored by 1 p.m.
