SUPERIOR, WI-- A Superior ambulance station is back in service after flooding did serious damage in Spring 2019.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance held an open house for its re-designed station, located on North 34th Street near Hammond Avenue, Thursday afternoon.
Last spring, the building had about a foot of water inside. Now, Mayo Clinic Ambulance officials say it includes new communication tools, energy efficienct updates, and much more.
"Just having this improved building, it helps our crews be more rested, better able to respond. That comfort level that allows our crews to regenerate in between calls," Greg Hanson, a supervisor with Duluth-Superior Mayo Clinic Ambulance, said.
Mayo Clinic Ambulance officials say having the station closed did not impact their response times.
