UMD men's hockey came out firing during Friday nights match-up against North Dakota… firing off five unanswered goals after trailing 3-1 in the second period… they'd go on to score two more to win 7-4.
Game two was a roller-coaster as UMD took its first lead in the third period-- only to have it stolen with two unanswered goals in a span of 94 seconds.
"We didn't capitalize, they did on a couple point shots which was some missed coverage. I thought our guys competed and it was a really good series much like it was expected. I didn't think there was going to be 11 goals on Friday. Again, still areas to get better at and tighten up. Keeping that mindset and that intensity level for 120 minutes."
UMD heads to Denver for another match-up this Friday and Saturday.
