Ramp back open after logs spill off semi at Duluth’s ‘Can of Worms’

DULUTH, MN-- The southbound ramp onto interstate 35 from Hwy 53 is back open tonight after a semi-truck carrying logs spilled its load while exiting off Duluth's Can of Worms area.

The incident occurred around Tuesday night around 4:15 pm. Crews worked for over two hours to get the logs back on to the truck.

Traffic was re-routed and the ramp was closed during the time of clean up.

No word on what caused the incident or if there are any injuries as a result.


DULUTH, MN-- A semi truck carrying logs has apparently spilled its load while exiting off Duluth's Can of Worms area.

Minnesota Department of Transportation cameras show the semi appears to have been attempting to exit onto southbound Interstate 35 from the Can of Worms when the incident occurred.

The image appears to show logs laying on the ramp.

Traffic appears to be impacted. You're advised to consider alternative routes.
