DULUTH, MN- The UMD women's hockey team will look to close our their regular doing something they haven't done in their last 10 meetings against Wisconsin.
And that's win a game against the #2 Badgers.
Wisconsin has won the last six meetings between the two teams. That dates back to February 10th of 2018 when UMD forced a 3-3 tie at Amsoil Arena.
Head Coach Maura Crowell says the main focus is on themselves this weekend, not their opponents.
"For our players, they just need to do what we do best and I'd like to see us play free. Play on our toes, have a good forecheck, play stingy defensively, get up the ice as a unit and attack the net. The gameplan doesn't change dramatically with whoever is coming into the building. It's really the mindset we have that's most important," said Crowell.
Puck drop is set for 7:07 PM on Friday.
