Aitkin,MN— A Ramsey, Minnesota man is expected to be charged after allegedly taking a woman from her Aitkin County home against her will, which authorities say eventually led to a two-vehicle rollover.

Aitkin County and Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash around 2:30 p.m Friday in Aitkin Township, three miles north of the city of Aitkin.

Upon arriving, authorities learned no one was injured, but witnesses told first responders the passenger in one vehicle involved in the crash had been taken from her home against her will.

According to witnesses, the driver pulled into the woman’s driveway and allegedly forced the woman into his pickup truck and drove off.

Police say witnesses used their vehicle to follow the 32-year-old suspect, which led to the crash.

The suspect was later located with help of a K9 track and was taken into custody.

The suspect has several no contact orders with the victim.

The suspect is in Aitkin County Jail, pending charges.
