DULUTH, MN- Reaching the NFL or even the CFL is no easy task. But, former St. Scholastica quarterback Zach Edwards is confident in his abilities to be the first in program history to do so.

Edwards has had a whirlwind off-season. Beginning in December when he competed in the FCS Bowl. He would later be named MVP of the game.

Shortly after, he traveled to Test Academy in New Jersey. Training sun up to sun down to prepare for his pro day.

Then recently on March 11th, Edwards showcased his skills in front of scouts at UW-Whitewater, including representatives from the Green Bay Packers.

Edwards says he feels that he's put in the necessary work to achieve his dream.

"I believe in myself. I feel like I've done pretty much everything I could to put myself in the best position possible to get there. I haven't really thought about it like that. I'm just trying to do what I want to do. I'm trying to achieve my dream and try to get there any way I can. I'm just staying at the grind and working hard. That's all you can do, just believe in yourself and work hard," said Edwards.

Edwards isn't alone as he trained with Esko native and former teammate Aaron Olson in New Jersey. Edwards added it's been great to have a close friend with the same drive.

"Just kind of having someone to go through this grind with is really nice. Not everybody gets it, all the hard work that you put behind it. Having him side by side with me, working hard, just going through that was really nice. We're pushing each other hard, it's nice to have that guy in your corner. So, definitely been a lot of fun," said Edwards.
