The North Shore anticipating tourists, asking visitors to practice social distancing

TWO HARBORS, MN -- Two Harbors businesses and residents are anticipating quite a few visitors this holiday weekend as travelers drive the North Shore.

Lake County Chamber of Commerce leaders know how the town attracts tourists from around the region and beyond, especially over Memorial Day.

According to state data, the county has one confirmed case of COVID-19.

Two Harbors having limited medical resources, they are urging travelers to practice social distancing and be mindful of others.

"The people are going to come, we know that, and it's our number one concern to make sure we keep our locals safe and we keep each other safe and I think that we've done a good job to make sure we are following that," said Janelle Jones, President & CEO of Lake County Chamber of Commerce.

The businesses in Two Harbors have recommended safety guidelines in place to ensure the safety of all the visitors and residents.
