Ely: Referendum on the docket for major school upgrade

Ely voters will be asked to approve millions in funding for a major school upgrade. This August, they'll consider a $10 million bond for renovations and safety updates. Improvements would include connecting school buildings for safety and security, updating several century-old buildings.. and adding classrooms. Ely voters will also vote on a property tax increase.
That money would fund about half the project.. with other funding coming from the I-triple-R-B. The vote will be held on August 11th.
However.. early voting started Friday.
