Red Cliff: Cooking meets culture in new cookbook

The kitchen and culture are meeting on the page thanks to the work of one Wisconsin resident. Derek Nicholas, a member of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa wanted a way to connect with his indigenous heritage and pursue his passion for food. He authored a new cookbook based on traditional Native American recipes. "Eating with the Seasons" is a cookbook that includes 24 recipes divided by season.
The book is a way for Nicholas to share what he's learned about his culture and keep traditions alive.
