NASHWAUK, MN-- An Iron Range intersection will be under construction starting Monday, July 6.
MnDOT crews will begin working on the intersection of Highway 169 and Highway 65 near Nashwauk.
The work will be done in three stages.
During stage one, motorists will experience single lane traffic north and south on Highway 169, 11-foot lanes on Highway 65 northbound and traffic control shifts.
For stage two, there will be no access to or from northbound Highway 169 to Highway 65, so there will be a detour on County Road 86.
This is slated to start Monday, July 13.
The work being done is to improve sightlines and address crash history in the area, including a fatal crash in 2019.
