SUPERIOR, WI-- The city of Superior announced Friday that it has canceled their Fourth of July fireworks show this year that was scheduled to take place on Saturday night.

Superior cites recent increases in COVID-19 cases in Douglas County as the reason.

The decision was made in consultation with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services and Douglas County Public Health in hopes of ensuring the safety of the community.
