DULUTH, MN-- 12 UMD students have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the university's online database.
Since Aug. 27th, UMD Health Services has administered 44 tests with 12 positive cases found.
Isolation and quarantine housing is also being used with two students in isolation rooms and one in a quarantine room, which is 2% of the total amount of rooms they have available for use.
According to the database, these numbers do not represent the entire UMD student population, just those tested at the UMD Health Services office.
Monday marked the first day of in-person classes at UMD.
Students moved into on-campus housing on September 9th after it was delated two weeks due to COVID-19 concerns.
