Duluth, Minn. -- It's not a-typical for a college hockey alum to head overseas for an opportunity to play competitive hockey… we've seen Parker Mackay opt for that this year, Jalyn Elmes as well as many others… add former UMD Bulldog Nick Wolff.

The defenseman is heading to Hungary to play for his former juniors coach, Dave Allison who is the head coach in a Slovakian league. Wolff is looking forward to the opportunity to play again and see the world.

"It's been a while, the last time I played was March? So I'm itching and ready to go," said Wolff from his home in St. Louis Park, Minnesota. "I haven't been playing competitive hockey for eight months now so it should be a good experience and a good time to test my skills in a European country. Should be fun and I can't wait."

Wolff co-captained the UMD hockey team in his senior year and helped the team to back-to-back national titles.
