AURORA, MN -- People gathered in Aurora Thursday to celebrate the announcement of a new market coming to town.
Owners of the Nashwauk Market brought their grocery items to the east range where they'll soon open a new market.
The Aurora Market will be located at the former LTV Union Hall in town.
Those involved with the project said they have some construction work to do to the building space and anticipate opening the doors summer of 2021.
If you can't wait until then the Nashwauk Market will be offering contactless delivery to locals while construction is underway.
"We see this as an excellent opportunity to provide healthy food to an area that does not currently have them, and an opportunity to expand and grow our business," said Ben DeNucci, Co-owner of East Range Market.
The market will also offer new employment opportunities in the area. According to the owners, Aurora Market is expected to create 10 to 20 permanent union jobs.
