DULUTH -- The Duluth School District is working to execute a purchase agreement with a property management company regarding the future sale and preservation of the Historic Old Central High School.
The district is in the process of meeting with Twin Cities-based Saturday Properties.
District leaders say there are many considerations for them to include in the sale.
Including, the iconic nature of the building and its recognition on the National Register of Historic Places.
A finalized purchase agreement and closing documents would include those considerations as they are required under State and Federal regulations.
Saturday Properties say they intend on getting public input during the process and are focusing on keeping the building an iconic landmark in Duluth.
