Superior: Local business closes up shop for the season
Starting things off in Superior, where a local business is calling it quits for the season. The Red Mug Coffee Shop is bid the community farewell in a Facebook post this past weekend. They are closing their portable coffee truck as temps begin to drop and the winter sets in. The Red Mug was forced to close their brick and mortar location earlier this year due to the financial strain of the COVID-19 pandemic, but thanks to community support and a successful fundraising campaign the shop was able to open their coffee trailer outside their future location inside the Historic Superior Library building.
Hibbing: Fall Festival continues for Greenhaven students
Now heading over to Hibbing where Fall festivities are still a go despite it looking more like Winter outside. Students from Greenhaven Elementary celebrated the Fall Festival by going on a hay ride, play with animals at the petting zoo, and complete an obstacle course! The animals were provided by the Grass Meadows farm and Allavus farm from Iron Minnesota.
Grand Rapids: Fall into Winter Boards and Brews happening this Saturday
And finally we'll finish off in Grand Rapids where the winter weather is perfectly suited for an event this weekend. On Saturday snowboarders and skiers will gather at Rapids Brewing Company for the Fall into Winter Boards and Brews festival. The festival will feature a vintage snowboard display, live music, and a premiere snowboard film. Rapids Brewing will also be debuting a special winter ale for the event.
