Today, high pressure moves into the region and brings us mostly sunny skies for most of the day. Highs will only climb into the mid 30s with calm winds out of the northwest. A shortwave approaches western MN this evening which will bring light snow through central Minnesota. 1-2" is expected from Bemidji south to the Twin cities. Most of the Northland will miss this event minus our far western counties.
High pressure remains off to our southeast providing quiet conditions and partly cloudy skies. Highs will climb to the upper 30s, low 40s with winds out of the southwest at 5-10 mph. Clouds increase overnight with lows in the upper 20s, low 30s.
Another low will set up to our north for Saturday bringing mostly cloudy skies. Highs will warm into the upper 40s as the warm front passes, and Halloween night temperatures drop into the upper 20s, low 30s. As the cold front passes this brings a 30% chance of a rain/snow mix into Sunday morning.
Strong northwesterly winds pick up on Sunday behind the low which cools us down with highs in the low to mid 30s. Winds will be breezy at 15-20 mph.
Ridging moves in for the start of the week, which means fair weather and warmer temps! Monday brings mostly sunny skies and highs in the mid 40s. Southwest winds at 5-10 mph.
