Ely, MN- The Ely High School Student Council recognized the need for blood donations. To meet the demand, they are hosting a blood drive on April 21 and April 22. On April 21, the drive will be at the high school from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. On April 22, the blood drive will be parked at the Grand Ely Lodge from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Every donor will receive a free t-shirt and each donation will contribute money toward 2021 graduating senior scholarships. Grand Rapids, MN- After 21 years of service, Bud Stone will retire as President and CEO of the Grand Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce later this spring. Stone said his decision did not come lightly and is committed to the future of the Chamber. The Board is now searching for his replacement.

Grand Marais, MN- the Violence Prevention Center is hosting a free, virtual, self-care group on Mondays in April. Their goal is to practice mindfulness activities so you can be the best you. The meetings happen over Zoom from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Click here for more information.
