DFD identifies man killed in Easter Sunday fire

DULUTH, MN -- The Duluth Fire Department has identified the man who was killed in an apartment fire on Easter Sunday.

According to fire officials, Matthew Hurt, 49, of Duluth, died.

Authorities say the fire broke out around 1 p.m. in a bedroom inside his apartment, located at 631 East 3rd Street.

An official cause of the fire has not been determined yet, but authorities believe it was accidental.

Fire spokespeople plan to share an official cause of the fire after Hurt's autopsy is complete.
