Superior native, business owner elected to City Council

SUPERIOR, WI -- Superior voters elected a local business owner as their newest city councilor Tuesday.

Lindsey Graskey will represent District 10 after defeating Kevin Keener by 82% of the vote.

A native of Superior, Graskey graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Superior and later opened The Spirit Room on Broadway Street.

She says she ran for the seat to help the city's North End flourish.

"We have a big plan here, the comprehensive plan, and I want District 10 to be in that plan and to go to the city level with a good advocacy for the things that we need down here," Graskey said.

Graskey replaces longtime City Councilor Esther Dalbec, who decided not to run again this year.
