Michigan- Volunteers will fan out across the state to give highway roadsides their annual spring-cleaning Saturday. Groups from the Michigan Department of Transportation Adopt-A-Highway program will pick up litter from April 17 to April 25. Sections of highway are still available for adoption, and there is no fee to participate.

Hibbing, MN- The Hibbing Kiwanis Club’s 63rd annual Pancake Feed is coming up. The “Pancakes for Play” feed is Wednesday, April 28, at the Memorial Building. A portion of this year’s proceeds will go toward an Inclusive Community Playground. Pancakes are made from the legendary Pop Lukens recipe and are served with sausage, butter, and syrup. Tickets are $8 per person. Kids under the age of 6 are free. Click here for more information.

Minnesota- Turkey hunting season begins Wednesday. A spring turkey license allows hunting in all permit areas in the state, with the exception of three major wildlife management areas. DNR regulations this spring are similar to last year. Turkey season goes until May 31 and is divided into six hunt periods.
