Wisconsin- The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is sending out a spring reminder, as Adopt-a-Highway crews will be out for annual spring cleaning projects.
Last year, crews cleaned up more than 81 tons of trash and recyclables.
WisDOT is reminding motorists to put down their phones, mind their speed and be attentive to those cleaning up the state's roadways.
WisDOT released an interactive map showing where the 2,769 crews cover. Officials say 4,200 miles of road is still available for adoption.

Hayward, WI- The Musky Festival Queen Scholarship program in Hayward, Wisconsin is looking for candidates.
All participating candidates will receive a scholarship for their post-high school education.
A Musky Festival Queen and two runner-ups will be crowned at Musky Fest June 25.
Winners will continue to represent Hayward for a full year at various parades, events, and activities.
Interested candidates are encouraged to RSVP by May 6 for a pizza party kick-off event May 13.
