Superior, WI- This Monday the Rotary Club is kicking off their week-long fundraiser. They are hosting their 9th annual “Craft Beer and Wine Event" but with a twist. Due to the pandemic, they are hosting an online silent auction featuring over 140 items. Proceeds from this event will go to two main organizations, the Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College Dreamkeepers Fund and Northwest Wisconsin Community Services Agency, Inc. Additionally, some proceeds will go towards supporting the rotary clubs' international projects. To register and check out the items before bidding opens Monday, click here.

Hayward, WI- One week from today events will be underway to kick off the spring fishing season. The 2021 Wisconsin Governor's Fishing Opener is locally sponsored by the Hayward Lakes Visitor and Convention Bureau.
The Fishing & Outdoor Expo, held on Friday, is free and open to the public. This expo will be held at Fresh Water Fishing Hall of Fame from noon to 4 p.m.
There will be vendors, a free fish fry to the first 200 people, a casting skills challenge, and more.

Washburn, WI- The Washburn Heritage Association is inviting the community to celebrate May Preservation Month and a big feature this year is The Club building. The building finally reopens to the public after a decade of renovations. It was originally built in 1919 and served as a community building for families from the Dupont Barksdale Plant during both World Wars. The Preservation Month events will run each Saturday in May from 10 to noon at The Club and include events like guided building tours, and games and activities highlighting different rooms.
