SUPERIOR, WI -- Each spring Superior city leaders and workers honor those who died in the workplace.
Along with a three-shot salute, Superior officials planted a tree at Bear Creek Park Wednesday morning.
Superior Mayor Jim Paine explained why it's so important to remember them.
"We tragically have to remember someone who died in the last year, Mr. Brady VanHove who died at work this year," said Mayor Paine. "So this tree is planted in memory of him and everyone who has lost their life at work."
Paine says even a single workplace death in the city is too many.
