Cook County, MN- On Monday, May 3, construction to the Gitchi Gami State Trail will begin.
Construction crews will be rock drilling and blasting.
Officials are warning if you hear sounds of an explosion west of Grand Marais in the area of mile marker 105 and 106 it will likely be from trail construction. They also noted to be careful when driving through the area for workers near the road.
Duluth, MN- Vitta Pizza will be having a special deal for Northland educators.
Next week, Monday organizers will kick off teacher appreciation week, all teachers with a valid school ID or badge can get a $6 margherita pizza. Vitta Pizza is located in Canal Park, open from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays.

Duluth, MN- Ursa Minor Brewing is brewing with a cause in May.
May is Brain Tumor Awareness Month and the local brewery is participating in the national #BrewStacheStrong campaign with over 175 breweries around the country. The campaign raises funds and awareness for brain cancer research.
Each smash for a stache crawler sold, Ursa Minor Brewery will donate one dollar to the cause.
