DULUTH, MN -- A large amount of Spirit Mountain's debt could soon be forgiven by the city of Duluth.
Up to $900,000 of debt to be exact.
Next Monday, the city council is set to consider a resolution that would allow the ski hill to enter into a debt forgiveness plan with the city.
The idea comes from the Spirit Mountain task force, which was created by the mayor to help get Spirit back on its feet after a rough couple years.
The task force suggested creating a debt repayment plan that includes some forgiveness.
We will be covering the council meeting Monday and will let you know what is decided.
