City by City: Twin Ports, Woodstock Bay, Hoyt Lakes

Twin Ports- Cafe Scientifique announced a public science event for July 29. The "Great Lakes Monitoring - The Next Generation: Robots, Satellites, Sensors, and You!" event will be Tom Hollenhorst. He'll be talking about a robot that is currently in Lake Superior helping scientists understand the Great Lakes better. Woodstock Bay, WI- The St. Louis River Alliance annual canoe trip is back this year! The meeting will be August 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. leaders say every one of all levels can come. Those interested must register by August 4. For registration details, click here.

Hoyt Lakes, MN- The 66th annual Hoyt Lakes Water Carnival begins this weekend, July 22-25. Events include a bean bag tournament, queen's coronation, turtle races, a parade and so much more. Entry is $10 for the weekend and kids under 12 are free. For a full list of details, click here.
