U.S. Steel gives $350K to new Iron Range gymnasium

VIRGINIA, MN -- A new high school being built on the Iron Range just got a big boost from U.S. Steel to build a state-of-the-art gymnasium.

The mining company announced Monday it will be contributing $350,000 to Rock Ridge High School in Virginia to build the new gym which will bear the name U.S. Steel Gymnasium.

According to the company, it will feature a varsity competition court and provide a space for community and sporting events.
