UPDATE: Three arrested in Hibbing murder case

UPDATE 2:45 p.m. — Police say they have arrested three people in connection with the murder of Joshua Lavalley of Aurora, Minnesota.

According to police, an 18-year-old and a 20-year-old were arrested Monday night in Hibbing, while a 17-year-old female was arrested Tuesday.

Lavalley was found dead on the Mesabi Trail in Hibbing just east of Kerr on Sunday.

Police say the investigation is still active and ongoing.

An 18-year-old is being held in the St. Louis County Jail on suspicion of murder.

Hibbing Police arrested the teen, and he was booked into jail just before 9 p.m. Monday.

Hibbing Police would not confirm to CBS 3 Duluth if the arrest was made in connection to an ongoing homicide investigation in which Joshua LaValley’s body was found on the Mesabi Trail, just east of Kerr, on Sunday.

According to Hibbing Police, they plan to release more information on their investigation Tuesday afternoon.
