Eight arrested following online solicitation of minors investigation

DULUTH, MN — Eight people have been arrested following an operation which addressed online solicitation of minors.

According to Duluth Police, authorities conducted an operation to address the solicitation of minors on January 30th and 31st.

Officials say due to the operation, eight men–ranging in age from 22 to 62 years old–were arrested.

All eight are still waiting for formal charges, however they were arrested on charges of Engaging in Hiring or Agreeing to Hire a Minor to Engage in Prostitution, as well as Distribute via Electronic Communication Sexually Explicit Material to Children.

The suspects are all from Minnesota, including the cities of Duluth, Silver Bay, Grand Rapids, Deer River, Britt and Buffalo.

Police say their investigation is ongoing.
