One person arrested for allegedly selling heroin, fentanyl and cocaine

DULUTH, MN — A Duluth man has been formally charged for selling various drugs in the area.

According to the Duluth Police Department, the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force searched a vehicle and Thomas Billington, 30, on Tuesday.

During the search, authorities say they found $2,900 in cash, as well as six grams of packaged fentanyl.

Police say more drugs were found in Billington’s home, including 23 grams of fentanyl, 37 grams of heroin and 11 grams of cocaine.

In addition, drug packaging, ledgers, a scale, and other paraphernalia were also found.

While speaking with police, Billington said he couldn’t tell the difference between heroin and fentanyl.

Billington has been formally charged with first degree sale of heroin, second degree sale of fentanyl, and second degree sale of cocaine.
