Downtown Duluth murder suspect heads to jury trial

DULUTH, MN — The man suspected of shooting and killing a man in Downtown Duluth last year will now face a jury.

Jamal Jackson, 26, is accused of killing Scott Pennington, 31, last September.

Jackson is currently charged with second degree murder.

His jury trial is scheduled to begin on October 21st.

If convicted, Jackson could face 40 years in prison.
