HERMANTOWN, MN — The Saint Louis County Attorney is now deciding whether to file charges in a deadly officer-involved shooting in Hermantown.

The shooting, which happened in early May off Stebner Road and Highway 53, ended when St. Louis County deputies shot and killed Tim Majchrzak.

Authorities say he exchanged gunfire with deputies after speeding on his motorcycle.

A Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension spokesperson says they’ve finished their investigation, and have passed it off to the county attorney.
