Woman facing 45 felonies following alleged embezzlement

ASHLAND, WI — A Washburn woman is facing 45 counts of various charges after she allegedly embezzled thousand of dollars from her employer.

Jill Kozitza, 49, is accused of one count of theft in a business setting of more than $10,000, 20 counts of forgery, 19 counts of fraudulent writings, and five counts of income tax fraud.

According to the Ashland Daily Press, the complaint states the crimes happened when Kozitza was a secretary and bookkeeper for an Ashland law office.

Kozitza’s initial appearance is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
