UPDATE: Thousands without power as heavy rain moves through region

9:20 A.M. UPDATE:  More than 4,000 people are in the dark Wednesday, as high winds and heavy rain moves through the region.

According to Minnesota Power’s outage map, they’re working to restore power to 3,934 customers as of 9:15 a.m.

Most of the outages are affecting the Duluth, Superior, Esko and Fredenburg Township areas.

Meanwhile, Lake Country Power’s outage map shows they have about 334 customers in the dark.

More than 1,500 people are in the dark Wednesday morning, as high winds and heavy rain moves through the region.

According to Minnesota Power’s outage map, they’re working to restore power to 1,409 customers as of 7:20 a.m.

Most of the outages are in the Duluth, Esko, and Brainerd areas.

Lake Country Power’s outage map shows they have about 173 customers in the dark.
