Hibbing High School lockdown lifted following juvenile arrest on campus

HIBBING, MN–Hibbing High School was placed on lockdown Wednesday morning while police arrested a juvenile teen on campus.

According to police, the teen was arrested in connection to an earlier disturbance call on the 2600 block of 6th Avenue East.

Hibbing Police and School District Superintendent Brad Johnson both said the incident had no relation to the high school, but the building was put on a short lockdown as a precaution.

Johnson said the school was never under under any threat. Police said no weapons were recovered.

The lockdown has seen been lifted.
